Diego is the Executive Chairman and leads investor relations particularly for renewables.

Diego co-founded Quercus Investment Partners now Quercus Real Assets over 10 years ago building it into a leading investment manager with €1bn of assets which he sourced, managed and ran. He has extensive experience from the early stage renewables markets through to today’s mature market status.

Previously, Diego worked in investment banking and finance at IMI Bank and Commerzbank.

Marco D’Arrò

Marco leads business development and investor relations for real estate.

He founded the Real Asset Group in 2013. In 2020 the group merged its real estate investment team with Quercus Investment Partners, forming Quercus Real Assets.

Marco has a long track record in arranging institutional capital for real estate deals and over twenty years of experience in investment banking at Merrill Lynch, ABN Amro, Royal Bank of Scotland, Goldman Sachs and Nomura.

Nicola Taylor

COO & General Counsel

Nicola has a dual role as COO and General Counsel.

She has over 20 years of legal experience spanning multiple industry sectors and jurisdictions.  She first joined Quercus Investment Partners in 2012, playing a lead role in building up its first renewable energy portfolios.  She returned to Quercus Real Assets in 2020.

Nicola worked in private practice at Freehills, Freshfields and Dewey & LeBoeuf.  Since moving “inhouse” she has increasingly combined legal with commercial, regulatory and management functions.
Nicola holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) from Australian National University.

Asif Rafique

Asif leads the energy transition / renewables team at Quercus Real Assets.

He has over 23 years experience in finance of which the last 15 in renewables he has been involved in a wide range of technologies and assets at scale. Asif has a first class honours degree in BSc (Econ): Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics.
